With the long weekend coming up, now is the ideal time to get your car #RoadtripReady. To help you, we’ve developed a simple acronym, BOBFTW which doubles as a checklist #ForTheWin!
B – Battery: Check that your battery is safe, secure and charged at a Battery Centre, for free.
O – Oil: Check your oil before leaving. The last thing you need is that oil light flicking as you drive to your destination.
B – Brakes: Have your brakes checked by professionals to always stop effectively and safely.
F – Fuel: Be sure to check the pump attendants fill the correct fuel and that you have enough to reach your destination or the next filling station.
T – Tyres: Ensure your tyres are fitted safely and have the legal limit of 1mm of tread. Be sure to check the pressure as well, over-inflating could cause damage!
W – Water: Check that your water levels are adequate to avoid overheating.
