Motorcyclists, here are three tips to ride safe and warm this winter.
• Check your tyres: heat escapes from tyres quicker in winter resulting in less traction.
• Gear up: gloves are essential. Cold hands reduce response time which is dangerous. Thermal gear keeps you warm without having to put on several layers which restricts movement.
• Stop often: if you’re riding long distances, the cold will numb your fingers and toes. Stop for a hot drink to thaw out.
